Meet the League-Part 9
In today's edition of Meet the League, we take a look at a man who has an overall record of 68-72, a man who has been a Yahoo member since 2009, and a man that holds the record for the most points scored in a week. When in the first week of the 2013 season he scored an amazing 208.66 points. He is the only member of the 200 points in a week club. Also due to someone no longer being in the league, he is the raining winner of the largest margin of victory in any week, as he beat Santino once by 99.52 points! That man is of course a man named Derek.
Derek was born in the early 1980's to a hard working mid western family who raised him with high morals and self esteem. He was a two time Science Olympia champion and medaled at his 5th grade field day. After college, Derek met a young lady named Andrea, the two fell in love instantly. The couple married just outside Barcelona, at the foot hills of Mount Tibidabo. After the wedding the couple soon after welcomed their first child, a strapping young boy named Tomzoo, he's now 11. 3 years later they welcomed their daughter Peggy.
For the last several years Derek has used the same team name, Golden Gate. A clear references to the 1994 cinematic masterpiece staring Matt Dillon and Joan Chen that made an impressive $395,105 in the theaters in the US.
Derek would eat himself if he was a hot dog and he was starving, and he would put relish and mustered on himself and be so delicious . He would then wash himself down with an ice cold Budweiser.
Even though Derek lives in an Amish community where they do not allow phones or computers which makes communication with him during the year difficult, he is without a doubt the most fun member of the League on draft day, and is very active with his draft day trades. Sadly for Derek the highest finish he has had so far is 3rd overall, and without a first round pick this year, as of now, it may be hard for him to do better than that this season. One thing is for sure, he will do his best to wheel and deal on draft day and with the help of a few cold adult beverages you never know what may happen.
