Email has been sent.... We must be getting close

As I start Season 4 of The League in re watching that wonderful program on HULU on my lunch break I got back to work and found an email. An Email that made me smile, an Email that made the clouds disappear and the sun to return to the sky. Our Fantasy Football draft is just four short weeks from Saturday!! Could this be? What wonderful news. It makes all things better, bad jobs, no money, can't pay bills, divorced, lonely or even the worst possible thing one can be, a western Michigan grad, no longer matters. Fantasy Football is back and life makes sense again. We have a lot of action that should take place before the trade deadline on July 27th. There are several teams with many good players who can be kept in the 9th round or later. With Keepers then due the following week, Saturday August  3rd, draft prep can finally be in full swing, for the 9 of us. BMR of course has been doing draft prep for several months and has a 156 page binder with every NFL teams depth chart and strength of schedules.

As of now, every member has a first round pick, though Derek and Greg have swamp first round picks. Greg does have the last pick of the 1st round and the 1st pick of the 2nd round. Could he use those picks to move up? Ryan and who ever this Matt guy is,  also has two second round picks, will they use those to get back in the first round, after draft 1st and 2nd overall respectively? Now's the time for some trades and the trash talking to begin. Because remember, win if you can, lose if you must, but ALWAYS talk trash.

 We are back!! football baby, and what a opening weekend, four days of NFL games with some big college games in the middle. And we are back with our predictions, we slacked off last year and in the off season but have worked out a new scheduling agreement and the preview for each week will be posted by Thursday each week. Week 5 Preview

 A 2-3 week last week has left the writing staff with a 11-9 record on the season, need to do better. Our first week that byes come into play, so let's get right to it.  Bambino 1-3 Vs Derek 0-4 Can Derek finally get a win, he has a 70% chance as of now from the best fantasy site in the world. Of course, that may have to do with Santino still having two guys on byes in his lineup. Both have players going tonight with Evans and Pitts, I think Derek takes a lead and he does not give it up. He finally gets his first win, 120-110. Hootie world tour 2-2 Vs. our Fearless leader 0-4 Speaking of guys trying to get there first win, our Commish is winless, and guess what, he stays that way. None have anyone going tonight and Hootie does have to worry about Nabers and his concussion if he will play, but as sad as it is to say, G-Money's team is not good, maybe fantasy has passed him by, he is like our Jerry Jones. Week 3 Preview

 A little better week last week, as we went 3-2 in our picks, bringing our season record to 5-5. Not terrible, but you would like to do better than 500. Week 3, let's get right to it.  The Hootie World Tour 0-2 vs. Santino 1-1 Well maybe Bambino knew what he was talking about with his team's name, as we went from scoring 179 points in week 1 to 85 in week 2. In week 3 he gets a team 0-2 that really needs a win and is projected to get one. Neither team has a player going tonight, though both have QBs going on Monday night, but not against each other, as there are two Monday night games this week. Nabers showed he will be the main focus on the Giants offense as he had 18 targets for the game last week at THE WASHINGTONS, catching 10 for over 120 yards and a score, and at Cleveland should be tarted close to as much.
