Week 3 Preview
A very disappointing 1-4 last week drops us to a Ravens/Browns like collapse bad 4-6 on the season. As for the league, we are sitting at two 2-0 teams, two 0-2 teams and 6 teams at 1-1. With the new playoff format there is no question everyone is still very much in the mix as we head to week 3, so let’s get to it.
Former King Derek 2-0 (127.86) vs Wiseguy Rite Aid 1-1 (123.81)
No one has anyone going tonight, though Ryan will be done after the Sunday afternoon games while Derek has one Sunday night and two Monday night players. So Ryan will need to have a big lead after Sunday afternoon to feel good. One thing Derek does have during Sunday day games is Lamar Jackson, who will look to drop another 50 burger of fantasy points on the Pats D this week. It is early to say, but it does look like the Pats dynasty is officially over, as they don’t even look like a playoff team. Derek has Bateman too and is enjoying those double points. Having Evans being suspended for the week puts Ryan at a bit of a disadvantage that is out of his control, but that will be enough for Derek to come from behind thanks to 100 yards and a TD from Barkley Monday night to win 135-128.
DP 1-1 (134) vs The Commish 0-2 (133.14)
I’m sure Greg will come up with some ruling and give himself win’s somehow but so far it isn’t looking good for our fearless leader, and I know why. He is starting not one, but both Cowboy running backs. The fantasy gods are punishing him for this unforgivable act and because of that and that alone DP will be going to 2-1 this week with a 140-132 win. Both members do have players going this evening while DP will be done after Sunday afternoon and then will just have to wait to celebrate till after Monday night.
Mr. sports Emmy 2-0 (145.95) vs Bambino 0-2 (117.35)
Sloney has Mr Johnson going tonight to get himself off to a good start, and while playing the Dallas D does lose him some points, and he is going against his good friend and top QB of all time Josh Allen, he has that Patty guy who is pretty darn good himself, so the trio of Diggs Taylor and CMC will be enough. Also Radio had the. Audacity to not only say he wanted the cowboys to beat the Giants, he went as far as to bet on them. Clearly he is going 0-3, for that alone. Sloney slone slone wins 155-120.
BMR 1-1 (131.54) vs Team Hootie!! 1-1 (127.34)
First congrats to our newest member (s) for getting their first win last week. They have proven to be great additions for sure. Second, this the closest matchup as far as standings go, with the 7th and 8th seeds for points going at it. Projections shows it to be close and I have no doubt that it will be. Best Man Robb gets it started tonight with his tight end, who has 10 points in back to back weeks, that will give him a lead he will not give up. Swift may still not be 100% but St. Brown is, and Burrow really needs a big game against the Jets and I believe he will get it. BMR not only has the first player of the match up going, he also has the last, so if it comes down to it, he’ll get some late points from Mr. Williams and improve to 2-1 with a close 138-136 win.
Jennifer & Ronny 1-1 (141.15) vs. Tiricooooooo 1-1 (132.74)
I spoke to soon… since this matchup is 4 vs 5 when it comes to the standings. Of course we all know how this one is going to go. Nick’s Chubb getd young Matthew off to a great start tonight and for his birthday week his team just keeps the love going for Tirico. Chase Sutton and kirk all have big games and J&R big money roster under performs and leaves them wonder why we got married in the first place, and also, why do we have coasters with Mike Tirico’s face on it. Either way, the Birthday week celebration is on for Tirico, he wins 128-122
