Week 8 preview

 A disappointing 2-3 week last week, clearly we are not in mid season form with our picks after a long layoff so hopefully this week will be much better. Going into week 8 and 90% of the league is still thinking playoffs and very much alive. Sadly the one team that isn’t has yet to experience the thrill of victory this season. Let’s get right to the picks, shall we?

4-3 Tiricooooooo (132.77) vs. 4-3 Derek the Great (123.92)

3vs4 in a huge matchup this week. Derek has Cook and Evans going tonight so he will at least have a lead at some point, the question is can he maintain. Tirico does have the biggest position advantage with Kelce vs all other Tight ends, especially if TSwift is in attendance and Uncle Travy’s yards improve by 50 yards a game, and he also has King Henry, against ATL, like that match up. Derek has some guys on paper that should perform, but just too many questions for me, kind of like, what’s Derek doing? Has anyone heard from him since the draft? Stuff like that. Tiricooooooo gets a defensive TD from the Lions on MNF to win 135-130. 

5-2 Hootie’s never ending World Tour (132.05) vs 3-4 The Wiseguy (130.37) 

Despite being 3-4 the former Dean does have more points than all 3 4-3 teams and is poised for another high scoring week this week. Ryan does being with the Bills defense tonight and though he did not practice today and is officially listed as questionable, Mr Hill has already told the world he is playing Sunday. That will be the difference. All of the 4-3 and 3-4 teams need a Hootie loss to bring him back to the pack, and Rite Aid Ryan is just the man to do it, cause he’s not the only thing with nice form, Wiseguy wins 125-119. 

6-1 Bambino (125.86) vs. 3-4 DP’s 3 way (118.06) 

Maybe Santino needs to change his name, considering all he does is win. He already has the best QB ever and Sloney’s close personal friend Josh Allen going this evening, and now thanks to a trade, he also has a top 3 RB, I mean how stacked can one team be? Poor DP, first is wife would rather munch box than swallow a load, now he has to go against an unbeatable team. At least he is an assistant principal now and doesn’t have to go watch high school bowling on a Tuesday night anymore. Santino wins 130-117. 

3-4 BMR ( 118.67) vs. Back2Back Sports Emmy’s (103.26) 

Both have WR, both teams #2 wide outs at that, with Godwin vs Davis. Davis definitely has the better QB throwing to him, plus the better #1 WR, that should give Sloney a short lead in this match up. Sadly for Jer, it will not last. The Better Man has a solid lineup and his Defense is going against the Bears. All that being sad, two members of the executive board facing off is always fun, but Sloney basically punted on 2nd down this season and is definitely looking forward to the 2024 draft. Best Man Robb 120-110. 

4-3 Jennifer & Ronny (117.46) vs. 3-4 The Commish (142.26) 

Last week J&R got lucky playing Sloney right after he traded Patty and Diggs.. well now the luck ran out, and they have to play the team that got them. This matchup is basically all ready over but definitely will be after Diggs 176 yards and 2 TDs tonight. J&R will never make it even kind of close as they are out manned at every single position. G-Money 150-110 win.
