32 Teams in 32 Weekdays-Cincinnati
2017 Record: 7-9
The Bengals always seem to be about the same. They have their moments, they get their fans semi excited and then they either just miss the playoffs or make the playoffs and lose in the first round. Boomer Esiason is not walking through that door. Last season was more of the same, as the Bengals finished 7-9. They drafted a talented rookie running back... of course they drafted the one with issues off the field because they are the Bengals, but Joe Mixon is talented and showed flashes. Last season also saw Gio Bernard take over from Jeremy Hill, who has since moved on, as the featured back. I do believe that Mixon is the RB1 there before it is all said and done, perhaps Gio gets a few more carries to begin camp and he may even start the season still as the starter but I do see him being more of the 3rd down back and Mixon get the majority of the carries. Gio will catch enough passes and has the home run threat still to make himself worth a fantasy bench spot.
AJ Green remains a top 5 wide out and a must have in fantasy football. Some little injuries have been a problem at times for AJ but he is still going to be gone before the end of the 2nd round in any fantasy draft. Brandon Lafell is on the other side and in deeper leagues maybe he gets taking. Tyler Eifert is a very good tight end and is absolutely someone that will be on a roster.
The Bengals do not have a lot of depth at RB or WR that would be on anyone's fantasy radar. The Bengals other big problem it seems, besides playing in the same division as the Steelers, is everyone's favorite soulless ginger QB Andy Dalton. The former TCU standout has been just good enough to keep his job and win some games, but not good enough to take his team to the promise land.
The Bengals defense also isn't helping, they ranked 20th out of 32 teams last year in total defense fantasy points scored so they are a squad you should be looking at, unless it is a bye week fill in and the match up is just too good to pass on. Randy Bullock will be doing the kicking duties as long as he can beat out Jon Brown. Either way, don't worry about it, they are not someone you want on your team.
2018 Predictions: 8-8
The Bengals will be able to have a slightly better record than last year, as long as Mixon and AJ stay healthy, and I guess Dalton does have to as well. Steelers will still win that division though and I don't see it being very close. AJ, Mixon, Gio and Eifert are all you really need to worry about as far as fantasy goes.
