Quarter Finals Preview, and other games losers have
A 4-1 week ends our regular season with a record of 44-25. But now:
Yes Jim, it's THE PLAYOFFS!!!
First congratulations to everyone on a great regular season, the writing staff is deeply honored we get to write about your fantastic league. A bigger congratulations to Ryan and Greg for getting first round byes, so guys, take it easy and relax this week. And as you relax Greg, make sure you read each preview for the four matchups this week because the writing staff will be giving you some speech ideas for you when you get your speech for the award that only you could have won!
Quarter Finals:
Puka Mi-Puka Yu (151.16) vs. Hootie n Blowfish World Tour (143.23)
This should be an outstanding matchup that besides one Monday night performer, it is an all-Sunday matchup. Before we take a closer look at it, Greg, pay attention:
Jim Carrey is better than Jim Carrey
QB: Patty vs. Dak- Advantage Patty
RB1: Hall vs. Gibbs- Advantage Gibbs
RB2: CMC vs. Harvey-Advantage CMC
WR1: Jefferson vs. Lamb-Advantage Jefferson
WR2: Diggs vs. Nacua-Advantage Nacua
TE: Kittle vs. Warren-Advantage Kittle
Flex 1: Achane vs. Rice-Advantage Achane
Flex 2: Etienee vs. McMillian-Advantage Etienee
Kicker: Bates vs. Fairbairn-Advantage Fairbairn
Defense: Eagles vs. Jags-Advantage Jags
As you can see this one is going to be very close, but I think I remember somebody once said,
Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion - Rudy Tomjanovich #shorts #motivation - YouTube
BMR is amazing, but somehow, someway, the World Tour doesn't end yet, Hootie wins 155-153.
Golden Gate (148.70) vs. Williams & Williams associates (129.73)
This should be another great matchup, that again, has only one Monday player and the rest will play tackle football on the Lord's Day. Now let's take a closer look at the matchup. But first, again, Greg, pay attention.
QB: Burrow vs. Hurts-Advantage Burrow- I mean Hurts is coming off 5 turnovers, 2 on the same play
RB1: Barkley vs. K Williams- Advantage Barkley
RB2: Jacobs vs. J Williams- Advantage Jacobs
WR1: Pickens vs. Pittman Jr- Advantage Pickens
WR2: Chase vs. St Brown-St. Brown
TE: Mcbride vs. Bowers-Advantage Bowers
Flex 1: Higgins vs. Swift-Advantage Higgins
Flex 2: Henderson vs. Addison-Advantage Henderson
Kicker: Little vs. Prater-Advantage Little
Defense: Steelers vs. Rams-Advantage Steelers
Derek clearly has the advantage and while a lot of the advantages are almost too close to call, the writing staff is going to call it anyway. Derek wins and moves on, 152-140.
Before we move on to the losers, one more idea for Greg, accept the award in character, perhaps like this:
1999 MTV Movie Awards - 'Hippy' Jim Carrey accepts award with Mike Meyers and Janeane Garofalo
The Other Guys:
The Other Guys (2010) - Tuna vs. Lion Scene (1/10) | Movieclips
Guy on the Coaster (124.55) vs. Mr. Ass (93.18)
Santino currently has a backup running back going tomorrow while Tiricooooo is sticking with the one Monday night player and the rest Sunday. Bambino should have a small lead after tomorrow night, but that lead will not last, Tirico gets the win in round one of the "do you kiss your cousin with that mouth classic" 131-110.
Hilltop Creepers (121.05) vs. Jennifer & Ronny (119.98)
Jennifer and Ronny want to get off to a lead, going with a kicker, a tight end, and Godwin, who all of a sudden is the 3rd wide out at best for TB with Evans coming back, so maybe some re thinking will take place between now and kickoff. Either way it will not matter. Sloney has Egubka, who will have more points than all three of them so American's favorite Fantasy couple will find themselves with another loss, 130-120, and next week we will get a Fran Slone Title Match with the winner all but locking up the #1 overall pick and some cash money. The writing staff is rooting for big brother, since we hear congratulations is in order for him as well, but in true fashion of large companies, you get to do more work for less money, so he is going to need the extra bucks, take a dive Matthew, do it for big bro.
