week 8 Preview

A very disheartening 1-4 record last week makes the writing staff's season record drop to 22-13. After a promising start we have seen to hit a wall. Have to regroup. But it isn't about us, it is about you all, so let's get to it.  Bye Weeks: 49ers, Texans, Giants and Saints 3-Time Emmy Award Winner 6-1 (115.44) vs. King Derek's Golden Gate 3-4 (141.82) Brought to you by: (1) Caddyshack - YouTube When you have a matchup of #1 vs. #2 you think that would lead off, but the writing staff has received word about a certain bet between managers for this one that will sure make this the most followed matchup of the week. Derek has Watson going tomorrow night to get his team off to a lead, a lead he hopes to never give up. No more morning games this week, so on Sunday the world must wait till 1pm eastern time, and an extra hour at that as the clocks fall back an hour Saturday night/Sunday morning. But man does it get going at 1pm. Sloney's entire team plays at 1pm, as of pr...

week 7 Preview

A very disappointing 2-3 record last week makes the writing staff 21-9 now for the season. We need to regroup this week.  Bye Week: Bills, Jags, Washington and Chargers Look Ahead Week??? Potential Semi-Final Matchups: Go Blue 6-0 (152.39) vs. Guy on the Coaster 4-2 (139.71) Brought to you by:  SHORESY Never Lose Again - YouTube Ryan may never lose again. Burden III will give The Wiseguy a lead after tomorrow night. Then Sunday morning, DK for Ryan and the Steelers D for Tiricoooooooo. Young Matthew will make a nice comeback at 1 with Robinson, Brown and Young. However, JTT at 1, and KW3 and JSN on Sunday night will be all that is needed for the former Dean to stay undefeated. Tirico will give a good effort but the writing staff is mad at him for him not coming through last week when we predicted he beat big bro, we will not look stupid again. Ryan wins again 160-151.  Jheri Curl 6-0 (135.36) vs. Hilltop Creepers 5-1 (122.42) Brought to you by:  Mike Ditka "Who...

Week 6 Preview

A disappointing week last week for us, going 3-2, but the writing staff isn't doing too bad on the season, as we now sit at 19-6, which isn't bad. But enough about us, let's focus on the reason the writing staff does this, you guys and your wonderful league, so here is our week 6 preview.  Bye Week: Detroit, Bengals, Miami and Minnesota Hilltop Creepers 4-1 (109.38) vs. Guy on the Coaster 4-1 (151.0) Brought to you by:  River Cain - Mama’s Boy Fran Bowl 1 of the season is this weekend, and that makes the writing staff excited. Sadly, for the older, better looking, more popular brother, the injury bug has hit, plus some bye week issues all point towards little bro continuing his dominance over Jer. Jer still needs to add a kicker, but for now, this is a Sunday only matchup with CD being the only player going on Sunday night, so before Carrie sings, this one will be over. Tirico let us down by losing last week when we picked him to win, he will not do it two weeks in a row...

Week 5 Preview

Another 4-1 week brings the writing staff to an impressive 16-4 on the season, if only Chris' bets could be good the members would have a lot more money in their bank accounts today. But last week is done and we as a writing staff, and I know the league as well, is moving forward. This week is the first week that NFL teams have byes, so managers have some decisions to make on some players and lineups. With that being said, let's get right to it.  Bye Week: Carolina and KC  Tiricoooooo 4-0 (153.97) vs. Bambino 4-0 (122.92)  Brought to you by:  LA effect Letterkenny Could this be a championship preview? Easy pick for game of the week this week. Projections will get a bit closer once Carlos Santos goes from the bench to the kicker spot, but the man on the coaster will still be favored. He can't get another 17 catches from Lamb this week, can he? Though the bucks have not been good, and that is being nice. Prime time matchup. CD starts it off tomorrow night, and th...
