32 Teams in 32 Weekdays-Chiefs
2017 Record-10-6
KC had a good year, won the division, and made the playoffs behind wonderful former #1 overall pick Alex Smith. But then they lost in the first round of the playoffs 22-21 to the Titans and I'm sure that led to Best Man Robb kicking puppies or something. So now, they re load. Alex Smith is gone and last years first round pick Patrick Mahomes II will be their starting QB. Sammy Watkins has joined the squad as well joining Tyreek Hill, Chris Conley, Marcus Kempt, Demarcus Robinson and DeAnthony Thomas in the receiving core.
Kareem Hunt was one of the break out players last season as the rookie RB had a great year... MAC Love. KC still has Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware who both have shown flashes in short stints that they have talent and can handle the load. The running game will again be counted on this season as KC enters the season with a guy with 1 career start as their starting QB.
KC also features of course one of the best tight ends in the NFL in Travis Kelce, which should definitely help Mahomes in his first year as a starter.
Also what should help is the KC defense, who was 11th last season in total points scored for fantasy defenses last season. Lead of course by former CMU standout and Super Bowl Champ Frank Zombo… ok I know he is like a 3rd string LB and special teamer, but really they do have a great defense. Also they have a great Left Tackle in former #1 overall pick and Chippewa great Eric Fisher. So what's not to like about KC?
Harrison Butker will be handing the kicking duties for KC so if Mahomes can't get the team all the way in the end zone Butker will try to give them at least 3 points. I am sure though besides BMR no other fantasy team will have him on their team.
2018 Predictions: 10-6
I really think it will be more of the same for KC this year. Mahomes will be fine, I don't think he is great or anything, and I don't think he ever will be, sorry Robb, but he will be enough to not make them lose games and the running game and defense will take care of the rest. If Carr is back, the Raiders are the only true competition in the division and I see it coming to those two teams in week 17 to see who wins the division.
