2025 Season Review
Another season is done, and the writing staff has really enjoyed covering this wonderful league. First congrats to Derek, for winning another title, and thanks to Sloney, also has the #1 pick in the 2026 draft, which draft prep for that begins now. But before we totally switch gears to the 2026 season, here is one last look back at the 2025 season:
Finished: 1st
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 1st overall
Season Recap: Derek took four first round picks, Chase, Barkley, Henry, and London, and interestingly it was his trade of Henry to Sloney which is the biggest reason that Derek will now have the first pick in 2026. In the title game it was Burrow, Chase, and McBride that did the most for him, and helped in the fact that Ryan's team picked the worst week to no show. Derek had the 4th most points scored during the season, but the team stepped up the most when it matters the most and he will once again find his name on the trophy.
Go Blue: Let's Go Blue
Finished: 2nd
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 9th overall
Season Recap: Just a horrible final week after a great season for The Wiseguy. 0.70 points combined from both flex players, and 6.05 from your QB will do that. Ryan did score only the 5th most points on season, even though he went 11-3 and won the best regular season record by two games. Giving up the 3rd least amount of points this season helped even that out. Taking JTT turned out to be a great pick all year and still having control over JSN for a while will definitely help Ryan be right there again in 2026.
Finished: 3rd
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 6th overall
Season Recap: I have heard from some sources that the Commissioner of this league had an injury or two to deal with this season, yet due to his amazing Fantasy Football knowledge and skill his team still scored the most total points during the season and has some potential keeper options, especially as some of the guys come back from injury and players do some player movement. Greg also joins, Derek, and Tirico has the only three members who used all of their FAAB this season.
Hootie n Blowfish World Tour: Hootie & The Blowfish - Hold On (Official Music Video)
Finished: 4th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 7th Pick
Season Recap: The defending champs had a nice season, making it to the semifinals and being a fine champion all year as they scored the 3rd most points all season. They were able to make some trades to improve while still not giving up 1st or 2nd round picks, which is great for the 2026 season and beyond. The double magic of Chris and Jason have been a very welcomed presence in this league and while the victory tour has come to an end, we at the writing staff hopes the world tour does not end.
Puka Mi-Puka Yu: Knock, Knock... Who's There? (Second Place)
Finished: 5th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 13th overall
Season Recap: Another season of not getting the trophy for BMR, and this season, true in his fashion, his team did score the 2nd most total points during the season. Sadly Best Man Robb does not have a first round pick, at least, not at the moment, so they will have a while to wait during the draft before they get to pick, but BMR will be done with his pity party by then, and energized and excited for another season and know that 2026 will be the year of the Robb! BMR will still have Puka, we assume Warren will also be kept gives him a great start to 2026.
Williams & Williams Associates: will.i.am - Scream & Shout ft. Britney Spears - YouTube
Finished: 6th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 5th overall
Season Recap: Solid season with the Williams brothers and the future still looks very good for DP, as both Williams, and Bowers can be kept going into 2026. Tough quarterfinal loss for DP, when they did score more points than both of the other teams if they played BMR or Hootie that week. But you play the hand you are delt and still a very successful season overall for DP.
Hilltop Creepers: The League: the brown note
Finished: 7th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 10th overall
Season Recap: Well better late than never as they say. Sloney's squad breaks out 184.02 points when it needed it most to win the Horses Ass Round Robin Tournament to win the number 1 overall pick for the 2026 draft for Derek. That was very nice of him. Has a few great keeper options going into 2026, including being able to keep Maye in the 14th round. Believe it or not he drafted Kyler Murray one pick before Maye. Has a good team, just bad luck, as they gave up the 2nd most points total during the season. But we all know the two-time sports Emmy winner will be back.
Guy on the Coster: Best Mike Tirico Calls - YouTube
Finished: 8th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 2nd overall
Season Recap: Big bro finally beat him, and in a matchup where at least something was on the line. Has some good keeper options for 2026 as well as the only person, as of now, who has two first round picks. With 2nd overall as well as 8th so that should be a good start in hopes that young Matthew does not find himself in the bottom four again next year. He should improve on this year where he had the 3 least total points for the season.
Jennifer & Ronny: Kurt Angle Royal Rumble Entrance You Suck Chant
Finished: 9th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 3rd overall
Season Recap: At least they are consistent. Had the worst draft grade after the draft. Scored the least amounts of points and gave up the most points all season. Really the better question is not how did the season go so wrong for them, it is how did they win any games? Have some late keeper options and have the 3rd overall pick, so should at least get someone that can score some points. But it is pretty clear that American's favorite difunctional couple is basically a bye week in this league. They just can't compete with the other talented members. But better luck trying next year Ronny and Jen.
Mr. Ass: I'm down here you big horses ass
Finished: 10th
2026 Draft 1st Pick: 4th overall
Season Recap: Scoring the 2nd most points all year and giving up the 2nd least points all season is not what you want. But at least Santino will have a trophy to show for it to help with the memories of the season. It happens to be a trophy he is familiar with sadly for him. He was projected to finish 3rd though after the draft, so the yahoo projections said he drafted well. Hopefully he will draft well again in 2026, and have his players play a little better. Took the gamble on Mixon which sadly did not work out for him this year, but if he comes back and is his normal self in 2026, Bambino's patience would have paid off having him as a 3rd round keeper.
Thanks again for letting us be a part of your league as the writing staff. Here's to a happy 2026 for all of you. Remember there are many things a man can do with his time; this is better than those things.
The writing staff shall leave you with this as the goal for 2026.
Happy New Year:
