32 Teams in 32 Weekdays -Packers
2017 Record-7-9
When discount double check gets hurt the Packers usually don't win a lot. That was the case in 2017. Then the Packers let Jordy Nelson go and with Minnesota coming on strong, having a great year last season and making the NFC title game, the time may have come where the Packers are no longer the favorite in this division at the beginning of the year. I do believe that most will pick the Vikings to win this division but I do feel it will be close and Green Bay will be right there with them all season long.
Of course Aaron Rodgers makes this team go but he has some talent around him. Davante Adams has shown he can be a #1 wide receiver, at least he has the talent for it . Randall Cobb has had his own injury problems as well and wants to show he still has something left in the tank... I am sure sometime in late July or early August reports will have him in the "best shape of his life" Geronimo Allison, DeAngelo Yancey, and I believe Ty Montgomery, who will stop being a RB and come back to join the wide outs to give the Packers more depth.
The running backs I believe will be a 1-2 monster of Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones. Both had big games last season, but both had some small injuries too. Which one will get the bulk of the carries? Fantasy owners will be watching camp closely… especially those that have both, considering they are both 9th round keepers... checks notes... you know... ME!.
The Packers did add some serious help to their offense with Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis. Two talented tight ends coming over that I believe will help Aaron Rodgers a lot. If Rodgers does get hurt again however, the Packers will be in big trouble since Brett Hundley and DeShone Kizer are the two back ups.
The Packers defense of course sucked out loud last year, as they finished with the 24th most fantasy points for defenses. The did add big Muhammad Wilkerson, and Clay Matthews and Jake Ryan are not bad LB, and besides having the best name ever Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is also a good CB... SO maybe their defense can be a little better this year. They also used their first round pick on a nickel back in Jaire Alexander. As for the kicking game Mason Crosby has that on lock down and has been a very consistent fantasy kicker for many years.
2018 Predictions: 9-7
As long as Rodgers doesn't get hurt I believe the Packers will be better and still be right there in the division. We will see how Cousins does in Minnesota and they always will have to deal with trying to be good when people expect you to be good. So I still feel ok with the Packers being 9-7 and good enough to be right there to win the division. Though the Vikings most likely will end up taking it before it is all said and done.
