Way Back Wednesday-2017
Our last Way Back Wednesday takes us all the way back to last season, 2017, as we finish our look back at past seasons. This will be our last in this series as for now on we will be looking at the upcoming 2018 season which is getting here quick. Now that it is August if you haven't caught fantasy football fever yet... you better get to it.
Ryan controlled the regular season winning the Wayne Fontes division with a 11-3 record and also scoring the most points in the league on the year with 1578.79. Right behind him though was everyone's favorite runner up Best Man Robb who finished at 10-4 and scored 1577.54 points on the year. In the Bobby Ross division it was Travis and the great Fear Boner 3.1 aka Fear Boner the last Dong who also finished with a 10-4 record to win the division and be the 3rd seed in the playoffs. Travis was not far behind in total points scoring 1545.66 on the year. Rounding out the playoffs was Steve and his team Jennifer & Ronny who finished with a 9-5 record and even though he scored the 5th most points in the league with 1491.54 the team had the least amount of points scored against it.
In the semi finals, Jennifer & Ronny's luck ran out, as they scored the 2nd most points scored in the playoffs that week with 120.86 points. The problem is Le'veon a Prayer scored 133.02 to easily advance to the finals. Kareem Myself also had no trouble with Fear Boner 3.1 as they won 97.82-70.41. In the 3rd place match Travis rebounded and won 103.91-99.40 in what turned out to be his last game ever in the league. Both teams in the 3rd place match outscored both teams in the finals however as both teams had down weeks but Ryan's down week was better and he was able to come away with his 2nd title 97.39-90.57 as Best Man Robb finished 2nd yet again.
Ryan of course had Le'Veon Bell on his team which helped a lot, but he had plenty of other talented guys. Carson Wentz and Case Keenum at QB, Leonard Fournette and Theo Riddick in the back field to go with Bell. And a very talented and deep wide receiving core with Brandin Cooks, Devante Adams, DeAndre Hopkins, and Michael Crabtree, Sterling Shepard and Randall Cobb added depth.
Thanks for taking a look back at all the past seasons as we get ready for 2018. We welcome in two new members and say good bye to two old friends. I am sure this year will be as epic as all the past seasons. It's August boys... it's time to get ready for football
