Draft Day Baby
we are not allowed to see each other or go anywhere but Thursday begins the NFL draft for the 2020 season, which hopefully will still happen.. if worse comes to worse, I do have an idea. The AFC goes to Nebraska the NFC goes to Kansas. There is one game a day, then two on Sunday in one division, then the next week the other division goes. Each team plays every other team in the conference, so 15 games, the team with the best record in each division then play each other in the Super Bowl. The season takes from August to April, but is anyone going to complain? Hell No. And we would have at least one football game a night for 8 months. Anyway, we know that Burrow is going #1, but I would not recommend any rookie QB being taking anytime early, however, it is a great Wide Receiver draft. So lets take a look at the four best.
CeeDee Lamb WR Oklahoma-It all depends on where they are drafted but it is a very talented class and WR and RB are the positions that can come in and contribute right away. It is tough for me if CeeDee or Jeudy is the best of this class, since both are really good. I tend to lean towards Jeudy but time will tell
Jerry Jeudy WR Alabama-In a lot of mocks the top 4 WR all are going in that 10-15 range, it may come down to personal style and fit for each team. Going to the Raiders would be a great fit for Jeudy and give him a great chance to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Henry Ruggs III WR Alabama-His teammate from Bama is very good to and should go no more than 2-3 picks after him. Does he land in Denver or San Fran? could be a great fit for Jimmy G.
Justin Jefferson WR LSU- I am a big fan of Jefferson, and actually think after Jeudy he will be the next best WR from this draft, though that may all change depending on where these four get drafted.
I'm sure there will be some short of bets about this at the draft, if we can have it together.
Which QB will be the best? Burrow? Herbert? Tua? Love?
Will Jonathan Taylor be a great RB in the NFL?
Find out, hopefully, if football still is around.
