Week 6 Preview
First, great week as we went 5-0 in our picks last week to raise the record to 14-11 on the season. Also the league is looking great right now. With a 4-1, three 3-2 and then six 2-3 teams it is wide open and this is a huge week, so let’s get right to it. First week of bye’s for managers to deal with.
Week 6 Byes: Lions Texans Raiders and Titans
King Derek 4-1 (132.57) vs. DP 3-2 (137.21)
Big match up of the week as #1 and #3 teams go at it. No one going tonight and just a kicker Monday night, so unless the score is very close we should know the winner by late Sunday night. I do see this like yahoo in that it will be close. My concern for Derek is Lamar has been finding Andrews more lately then Bateman and that very well could be the difference. The 1pm Ravens/Giants game will go a long way in finding a winner in this one. Also who will be Quarterback for Miami and can he throw it to Waddle, not sure if DP can count on 3 TDs this week against the Bills from Kelce, so because of that and a personal hope that Barkley keeps having great games, Derek gets a lead then hangs on for a 142-140 win.
Mr. sports Emmy 3-2 (133.17) vs. The Hootie World Tour 3-2 (128.88)
First Sloney needs a kicker not on a bye and the projections get higher for him, second, sad he isn’t playing Curtis Samual tonight, so he can play with his family member Deebo, but at least the world tour is playing someone tonight so he will get off to a lead at least. That lead will sadly not last, sorry Chris. Sloney Slone Slone goes to 4-2 with a 148-132 win.
Wise Guy 2-3 (122.46) vs. the Commish 2-3 (128.09)
Either have players going tonight, and G-Money has to wait till Monday for his QB to play while Rite Aid has his TE going that even, that means Ryan would be wise, see what I did there? To get off to a great start and have at least a 30 point lead after Sunday. I believe that will not happen however since I am not crazy on the Bills D playing at KC. Though it may come down to which RB does better Sunday night in that big game between the two top teams in the NFC East, it hurts me physically to write that sentence. Sadly Greg’s boys do enough, and the Commish gets the win 135-130.
BMR 2-3 (118.73) vs. Tiricoooooo 2-3 (126.97)
Again no one going tonight, which is so shocking… may be the worse Thursday night game ever. Anyway, I love Cook, and Davis, but you can’t count on 98 yard TD passes every week, so I actually think this one is going to be pretty easy for young Matthew. I mean he is starting future Hall of Fame QB Geno Smith, so how is any man, even if he is the Best Man, going to compete with that? Robb’s squad is done after the Sunday afternoon games, so he will have to have a big lead and then have to hold on against the Eagles D and Sutton. BMR will have a lead, but only about 10 points which will not be enough. Tirico wins 130-125
Bambino 2-3 (119.72) vs. Jennifer & Ronny 2-3 (132.25)
Santino will be starting off with a lead with one of his RB going tonight, I guess Snider’s PI couldn’t find any dirt on Montgomery, so he is playing this evening. Both do have wide outs going Monday night, while Santino also has his kicker, and has a WR going Sunday night. Meanwhile J&R have all but one player, Mike Williams, going Sunday at 1, so they will have to post a HUGE number and then hold on for dear life. This is one of those rare times though that the best damn fantasy sports engine is wrong with their projections. As Jennifer & Ronny don’t score enough in that 1pm window and Santino comes away with a 128-120 win.
