Week 7 Preview
Big time week for the writing staff as we went 5-0 for the week, helping our season record look a little better at 18-12. But enough about us, week 7 begins Thursday night, again features a 930am eastern Sunday morning game and ends with two Monday Night Football games, so let's get to it.
The Wiseguy 5-1 (128.18) vs. Best Man Robb 4-2 (117.40)
BMR has been a roll of late and may get some help back very soon as CeeDee Lamb has at least started practicing on a limited bases so could play as soon as this week. However, Nacua did not practice today so he may be out for their game across the pond. Either way, this matchup will be setting an alarm to get up to watch it, as Ryan has Brian Thomas Jr going in the game for the Jags. That is not where this matchup begins however, as BMR will throw out the Steelers defense Thursday night against the Bengals as we will see how Not Elite Joe Flacco does in his home debut in Cinci. The game that we will be focused on the most in this matchup, and only because of fantasy does anyone care about this game, is Browns vs Miami. Miami has not been good, and has the 28th ranked defense, meanwhile Quinshon Judkins is coming off 12 carries in his last game, a game that saw the Browns and a rookie QB throw or attempt to throw almost 60 times. Because of that, this matchup is brought to you by...
Remember Me (Lullaby) (From "Coco"/Sing-Along) - YouTube
The Former Dean is hoping the Browns do remember Judkins and give him the ball early and often. In a prefect world for Rite Aid, the Browns would get the lead, and Miami would throw only to Waddle to come back to give The Wiseguy even more points. As for BMR he has been rolling lately and while Rico Dowdle doesn't have a revenge game against the Jets like he did against Dallas, he still should have a good game and we believe this matchup will be close and come down to Monday Night's late game. Walker 3.0 vs. JSN, advantage Ryan with how Jaxon has been playing of late. Wiseguy wins a close one, 135-130.
DP 4-2 (109.75) vs. The Never Ending Hootie Championship World Tour 3-3 (137.53)
The projections will change a little once DP adds a defense however on paper the advantage still goes to our favorite former AD DP. A lot of good things happen with the Maroon Giants Basketball team lately though makes the writing staff believe DP may still be working some magic behind the scenes. This matchup does begin on Thursday night with a kicker, since they are people too. They also have a Sunday morning player, Sunday 1pm, Sunday 4pm, Sunday night, and Monday night so it will be a full weekend matchup. Both teams are coming off two wins in a row, but The Hootie World Tour has a secret weapon to break out to make DP's team disappear.
The Double DPs running Bills will not be enough this time as the defending champs win again and equal their record with DP, as both teams will be sitting 4-3 after this week. Hootie wins 140-130.
Back 2 Back Sports Emmy Winner 2-4 (116.92) vs The Comish 3-3 (89.94)
The Commish is really fighting that injury train right now and this week he has to deal with the bye week of the greatest QB of all time. With that being said, this week's matchup is brought to you by....
Major Payne: Meeting the cadets HD CLIP
Sloney may be getting better news on the injury front as Mike Evans may play this week in their Monday night game against a very depleted Lions secondary. Even if Evans is still out, hopefully it would be announced before the weekend games are all over to give Jer a few more options of who to play. He does have some inside information though so if Evans is still in his lineup by Sunday at 1pm eastern, the writing staff feels that means sources have told him Evans is a go for Monday night. Sloney wins 120-110.
The Former King Derek 3-3 (131.07) vs. Tiricooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 2-4 (119.61)
A matchup worthy of primetime. Thursday night, Chase and Boswell vs Warren. Sunday night, London is going for Derek, then on Monday Jamo is going for Derek, who the Lions remembered he plays for their team finally in the last game, while Tirico goes heavy on Monday with Gibbs, Otton, and Bates in the first game of the night, and Collins in the 10pm eastern Monday night game. Derek should have a big lead going into the night, he will have to sit tight and hold on. Because of that, this week's matchup is brought to you by....
Harold and Kumar Sing Wilson Phillips' Hold On
Derek can hold on for one more day, and he will hold on for one more win as he also goes to 4-3 and Tirico begins making 2026 draft plans. 135-120.
Jennifer & Ronny 2-4 (108.56) vs. Bambino 2-4 (89.72)
Speaking of 2026 draft plans, now the projections are way off as of now since Santino needs to add a wide out and a running back, so once that happens it will be back on track. Both teams maybe looking a little ahead for some 2026 draft prep, but we all know what Mr. Ass is all about.
Don't quit Santino, you got this one, get you to 3-4 and right back into the playoff race. Jennifer & Ronny on the other hand will continue their downhill spiral as they have lost 2 in a row and 4 of their last 5 matchups. Bambino gets a win capped off by three running backs going Monday night that will keep them celebrating till well into Tuesday. Santino wins 115-105.
