2026 Best Case/Worst Case

 First, the writing staff would like to make clear, THIS IS NOT A PREDICTION POST. We are just taking each team and giving our thoughts on what the best case and worst case scenario would be for their team going into the season. We will return next week Tuesday with the week 1 preview, and then each week after that the week preview will be out on Wednesday. We hope you enjoy.

Best Case: JTT and the Colts offense click like they did in the beginning of the season last year before DJ that's my DJ got hurt. A new coach doesn't hurt Lamar at all and David Montgomery can still be a very high productive RB on a new team without the Sonic to his hedgehog. The Commish can ride that offense back to the playoffs and another chance at winning it all.

Worst Case: The team continues to fall suit with Tyon's injury which hurts the depth, and then you need to relay on the Jets, Falcons Cards, and Colts offense to produce in meaningful games late in the season. Good luck with that. Your season would end before you think the NBA season begins.

Best Case: Jeanty and Hall having no competition on their teams for touches scores 15-20 points every week, Puka catches at least 8-10 balls for 90 yards and a TD each week, and Higgins takes all of Chase's TDs and Hurts continues to have other grown men push him in the back in order to score and BMR is not just in the playoffs but he is in the title game and can finally get that name on the trophy. 

Worst Case: The Raiders and Jets still suck, the Colts offense is not as good as the start of last year, the NFL outlaws the tush push finally, and Puka does get suspended for some time and with all of that happening BMR can't overcome it, and starts trading people for picks in a draft he can't make, and the league members listen to 12 more months of fantasy football complaining. 

Williams & Williams Associates: will.i.am - Scream & Shout ft. Britney Spears (Clean Version)

Best Case: St Brown always gives him points, and the Williams brothers continue to run all over the league while his two rookie backs in the flex have big impacts and all of that on top of the NFL's best TE DP can't be stopped and easily makes the playoffs and the title game.

Worst Case: Both rookie RBs are not ready, Maye and NE take a huge step back after overachieving and coming out of nowhere last year and not even Patty Hahomes will be able to save them, and they miss the playoffs. They also forget to add a kicker and defense before week 1 and face suspensions from the league office for setting an illegal line up.

Best Case: KW3 is going to have a big year in KC, Kittle plays in every game this season, Aubrey hits from 65 yards every game, Burrow stays healthy all year and they roll all season, make the playoffs, with room to spare and raise the trophy yet again. 

Worst Case: Kittle misses at least 6 games, Burrow's O Line still sucks, Judkins plays for the Browns still, and the Duo of T Mc wide outs do not do close to what they are supposed to do and the former Dean finds himself watching the playoffs from the outside.

Best Case: MarShawn Lloyd becomes a top 10-12 RB filling in for Jacobs and having him as his flex with Gibbs and Hampton as his 1-2 punch there will be no stopping, Derek. Herbert will be a top 5 QB and the playoffs will not be in question, it will be championship again. 

Worst Case: Gibbs is just not the same without Montgomery and Hampton has to share carries with Kimani Vidal and Keaton Mitchell and the Chargers will use all three and Derek will never know when to start Hampton and when to sit him. All that confusion and he misses the playoffs and has to transition too the 2027 season.

Best Case: James Cook will have a big year, which we all know he will, but Run CMC will stay healthy and not miss any time and be a complete back like it is 2021. Zay Flowers will show the old coaching staff was just holding him back, and Swift will have a bigger year than last year in year 2 in Ethan Morris' offense. Daniels will play like he did in 2024 and THE WASHINGTONS will be a threat. All of this helps Santino finally get to trade in that horses ass trophy and make the playoffs. 

Worst Case: 2025 Daniels is what he is, 2024 was the exception not the rule. CMC spends more time on the IR then in the end zone all the Bears offensive touchdowns go to wide outs or Loveland. Santino again misses the playoffs and has to worry if the trophy just stays on his fireplace mantal for life.

Best Case: Caleb Williams continues to take positive steps forward and a very balanced offensive attack is hard to beat when each week someone different steps up for Sloney. King Henry shows he still has it and runs all over everyone and Fran's Favorite makes the playoffs and finds himself in the title game. 

Worst Case: The Bears take a big step back, The Saints offense isn't good, and it hurts in RB2 and WR1 all at the same time. His tight end still plays for the Browns, and we find out Egbuka isn't as good when he is on the #1 CB on every team and not the 3rd best and Sloney finds himself missing the playoffs and searching for answers.

Best Case: Barkley has a bounce back year, Achane has to score points, cause no one else on his team can, Jefferson is helped by having an NFL QB throwing to him, and Loveland and La Dee Dee continue their progressions and become major stars in the league. The C&J Fantasy Factory makes it right back to the playoffs and another chance to get the trophy back again, even with their short time in the league. 

Worst Case:  In fighting with Dak not wanting to hand off to Barkley or throw to Smith, and Achane never being able to see the end zone because the Dolphins never make it to the red zone and the never ending Hootie world tour will come to an end without a playoff apperence.

Best Case: Everyone just does what they are supposed to do. The best QB, 2nd best RB, top 5 WR, top 5 TE, plus a deep bench and a good kicker and defense. Tate is going to have a big year in a much-improved Titans offense and win offensive rookie of the year. DJ Moore gives Josh Allen a real wide out for the first time since Diggs left and Tirico locks up a playoff spot with weeks to spare and finds himself going for a title. 

Worst Case: Guys on bad teams can't score enough to win enough games for young Matthew. Josh can't do it all by himself, and Cook takes the TDs when they are inside the ten. Someone puts a cement wall in front of Skattebo and just keeps running headfirst into until he knocks himself out and is done for the year. Tirico misses the playoffs and wonders what could have been.

Best Case: A brain tumor comes and grows affecting Jennifer & Ronny's short-term memory. This leads to them forgetting all about the season, their terrible team and any and all other issues that they currently have or will have in the future. With their short-term memory gone, they can go on and enjoy the next few months just watching games and having fun, without remembering they have rooting interest in them. 

Worst Case: We are in the middle of it. Jacobs is charged and will be suspended, if not jailed for many months. Brooks takes all of Hubbard's carries, Nabers isn't ready for week 1, Higgins gets all of Chase's catches, Pollard and Warren are starting instead of a break in case of emergency bye week option and Dart spends more time in the blue tent then on the field and the season is over by Halloween. 2027 draft prep can begin very soon for Jennifer & Ronny.
