Week 5 Preview

Another 4-1 week brings the writing staff to an impressive 16-4 on the season, if only Chris' bets could be good the members would have a lot more money in their bank accounts today. But last week is done and we as a writing staff, and I know the league as well, is moving forward. This week is the first week that NFL teams have byes, so managers have some decisions to make on some players and lineups. With that being said, let's get right to it.

Bye Week: Carolina and KC

Tiricoooooo 4-0 (153.97) vs. Bambino 4-0 (122.92)

Brought to you by: LA effect Letterkenny

Could this be a championship preview? Easy pick for game of the week this week. Projections will get a bit closer once Carlos Santos goes from the bench to the kicker spot, but the man on the coaster will still be favored. He can't get another 17 catches from Lamb this week, can he? Though the bucks have not been good, and that is being nice. Prime time matchup. CD starts it off tomorrow night, and then after Santino has the Eagles D Sunday morning, we have some major happenings Sunday and Monday night. It should be close and exciting then as the entire league watches on Monday night to see who gets the better of the Stafford/Allen matchup. Even in LA, we are going to have to go with Josh Allen, and because of that Tirico stays undefeated with a 147-142 win.

Sloney 4-0 (123.57) vs. BMR 1-3 (116.86)

Brought to you by: This Is Sportscenter - Rich Eisen, Sent Down to the Minors

BMR still needs to add a kicker, which will make a close projection even closer, we suggest pushing Hurts off the team. We do like his sneaky move of adding Mr. Hill, as reports are he will be singing with a new team soon, and that would give Best Man Robb another weapon in his playoff push, yes even at 1-3, right now, he would be in the playoffs, so he is not playing for 2027 just yet, like half the league is. Jer's kicker is the only player going tomorrow night, so he will score first. BMR will start his Sunday with watching Lawrence throw to Washington at 9:30am for the first of back-to-back international games for the Jags. Sloney also has Tuten going in that game so both managers in this matchup will be watching. Sunday night King Herny will give Sloney a nice lead going into Monday night, then it just comes down to if BMR's namesake can have a big enough game on Monday night to get him the win. The writing staff believes it will be close, but the three-time Emmy winner holds on for a 127-125 win.

The Wiseguy 4-0 (133.81) vs. C&J Music Factory 0-4 (110.55)

Brought to you by: The Game Nov 2021

A matchup this week with a 4-0 team against a 0-4 team. Very surprising to see the Hootie World tour having issues as they have been a great addition to the league and has had a good deal of success while still being rather new to the league compared to some other members. But when you think Achane and Barkley will be your two starting RBs you don't expect to be 0-4. This matchup does get going tomorrow night with Dak going for Hootie and Aubrey going for the former Dean. Sunday morning Shipley will be playing, unless Barkley is good to go, and Smith as well. So that will add to Chris and Jason's lead, before Sunday afternoon begins and it all goes away. Burrow will throw for 300 yards and at least 3 TDs against Miami and that will be enough. It will not be the best week for Ryan, but his team is talented and deep enough to still get the win. Wiseguys win 130-126.

G-Money 0-4 (144.46) vs. DP 0-4 (119.47)

Brought to you by: ace ventura - loser

Someone is getting their first win. As of now the Comish is projected to do so big, but once DP puts in Maye and takes out Patty it will be very close to even. Both teams have RBs going tomorrow night, though advantage DP on that one. We feel like it will be very close all the way through and the difference will be at defense, as both have Ds playing at 1pm, Titans D scores less than Bengals D, since Cincy is playing Miami, so even though he has hurt us already this season, the writing staff is giving The Comish one more chance. We have heard according to our sources that if he does not win this week, he will begin to look towards the 2027 draft, so all hands-on deck for this matchup and that will be enough. Maurice gets a close win 140-137.

King Derek 2-2 (141.06) vs. Jennifer & Ronny 1-3 (123.06)

Brought to you by: The League - Ruxin Tinkers With Fantasy Football Lineup - YouTube

Jennifer & Ronny kept us from going undefeated last week, but hey even a broken clock is right twice a day. It isn't happening again. Derek will get a lead early tomorrow night with Pickens going and he will lead wire to wire throughout the weekend. J&R has used the "start whichever QB is playing the Lions" strategy for one week to get a win, but Brissett is not going to do what Young did last week. A desperation move. The team also quietly dropped one of their 9th round keepers this week, so we now know Kyle Pitts Sr will have 8 catches for 90 yards and 3 TDs this week. Derek cruises to another victory and Jennifer & Ronny begin cleaning out spaces to put the Horses Ass trophy for the 2027 season. Derek wins 140-125.
