week 8 Preview

A very disheartening 1-4 record last week makes the writing staff's season record drop to 22-13. After a promising start we have seen to hit a wall. Have to regroup. But it isn't about us, it is about you all, so let's get to it.

Bye Weeks: 49ers, Texans, Giants and Saints

3-Time Emmy Award Winner 6-1 (115.44) vs. King Derek's Golden Gate 3-4 (141.82)

When you have a matchup of #1 vs. #2 you think that would lead off, but the writing staff has received word about a certain bet between managers for this one that will sure make this the most followed matchup of the week. Derek has Watson going tomorrow night to get his team off to a lead, a lead he hopes to never give up. No more morning games this week, so on Sunday the world must wait till 1pm eastern time, and an extra hour at that as the clocks fall back an hour Saturday night/Sunday morning. But man does it get going at 1pm. Sloney's entire team plays at 1pm, as of press time, while 7 of the 9 remaining players for Derek do as well. Pats D has a great matchup against Miami, coming off their first, and maybe only win of the year, Derek is hoping for a big number, so Barkely has a chance to give him the win on Sunday night. Some double points of Brissett to McBride is the difference as Derek wins 145-132 and Sloney orders a nice caddy bib to wear, in whatever city and state will be hosting your draft next season.

Bambino 6-1 (104.75) vs. The Wiseguy 7-0 (152.09)

If it wasn't for betting this would be the matchup of the week. The projections will change once Santino puts in a defense and another running back, but with Run CMC on a bye this is not the week Santino wants to take on the gauntlet that is Ryan. Both have wide outs going tomorrow with McMillian and Golden respectfully, but that will be the cloest it will be all week. The former Dean may not lose again, and while Bambino has a good chance with Cook and CMC as his two running backs, not having one of them hurts at the worst time. JTT is still a Colt for now, and KW3 is going to have a bounce back game, cause KC needs it in Denver. Just in case, Ryan has JSN on Monday night. But he may not even need him this week, Rite Aid wins 158-135.

The Comish 2-5 (132.09) vs. The Never Ending Hootie World Tour 1-6 (109.72)

This matchup also has one player on each team going tomorrow night, in Coker and Kraft. We like Kraft to give Greg the lead after that one, and not because he threated to fire us and replace the writing staff if we didn't pick him at all, we really believe that. Lamar Jackson is going to be back this week as well, be believe so that will help to. With Lamar playing their wives or girlfriends will not be the only thing Greg's team is beating this week. He will also be beating the C&J Music Factory. Greg wins 129-120.

TIRICOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 4-3 (151.18) vs. DP 1-6 (122.20)

Brought to you by: Neil Diamond - Hello Again (From "The Jazz Singer" Soundtrack / Audio)

Fresh off his first win of the season, maybe DP will make his return and be an active member of the league again. It is hard when you have to fit managing your fantasy team with activities with a new lady friend. Tirico is trying to be like big bro again and is also starting a lineup of players all going at 1pm. As neither team has anyone going tomorrow night. With Maye, one Williams, and Denver's D going during the 4 o clock hour it will make the matchup a little closer, but as long as young Matthew has the best QB ever, and close friend of his older brother, Josh Allen, he is going to get a win here. Tirico wins 149-140.

Jennifer & Ronny 3-4 (132.06) vs. Best Man Robb 2-5 (141.32)

Brought to you by: Roy Orbison - It's Over (Audio) - YouTube

It was cute while it lasted, but the little win streak is over now. BMR ends all this playoff hopes for J&R and puts them back to where they belong. Chuba may get them off to a small lead tomorrow night, but that will be it. Best Man Robb will come back with vengeance and all of Chase's throws will go to Higgins, Jefferson will do nothing, and Puka is back healthy. It may be close for awhile, but we all know who the better man is, in fact, we know who the best man is. Robb wins 145-134.
