Twas the day before the Draft...

Twas the day before the draft and Matthew Berry was getting a text From his co worker Jeremy asking who he should take for his flex Months of preparation has all come down to this We know no matter what happens Greg will be pissed Our gracious host will surely draft at least one Buckeye Cause as long as you win it doesn't matter if you have to bribe, cheat or lie Best Man Robb will take 15 minuets for every pick DP is upset that he is not as good of an athlete as his chick Ryan has 30 picks in the first two rounds But that doesn't grantee you a title, as we have all found After months of being MIA we will see Derek again He appears out of no where since a trophy he has to defend Will Baker Mayfield have a good year or will he become another Vince Young or Johnny All we know is he likes to drink and have fun like the GM of Jennifer & Ronny You want a good team because you don't want to come in last Since Tirico would be devastated if he had to give ...

Anyway, some teams have already announced their keepers while others are still weighing their options. Let's first look at the teams who have announced. Tirico is keeping Odell Bechham Jr in the 3rd round and Greg Kittle in the 9th Greg is keeping Cooper Kupp in the 7th, James John Sarah Conner in the 9th, L Murray in the 11th Santino is keeping T Cohen in the 7th, Nick I have a Chubb in the 8th and Matty Ice Ryan in the 12th Steve is keeping Derrick Henry in the 5th, Aaron Jones in the 9th and Darrius Guice in the 13th Dustin is keeping Mark Ingram in the 4th, Ju Ju on that beat in the 8th and Tyler Boyd in the 9th Now for the other five teams, here is a look at our predictions of who they will keep: Ryan has one clear choice for his keepers. Davante Adams at 7th, and I am sure he is also keeping Jordan Howard in the 6th, and ...

Trade season heating up

We have had three trades announced today, as of the time we are writing this. Derek, Tirico and Steve made trades with each other as Derek traded with Tirico, then Derek traded with Steve, and finally Steve traded with Tirico. Steve added two 2nd round picks, when he had none at the start of the day, to move back two spots in the 1st round and gave up their 3rd round pick. The big news of giving up their 3rd round pick was they also gave up the player most would assume they would be keeping in the 3rd round, Odell Beckham Jr. This ends the teams relationship with ODB and Jennifer & Ronny were reached out to, to give a statement on this: " We would like to thank Mr. Beckham Jr. for his years of service to our team, both as Activities and these last few years as Jennifer & Ronny. Odell is a very talented young man and we wish him all the best of luck in the future. We feel that we gave him a great chance to be successful individual while not winning any games, but still ge...

Jennifer & Ronny in a "heated argument" over which players to keep per source

This time a year managers begin to look at their team and their draft picks and start thinking more about who they want to keep with their teams three keepers and which positions they want to target in which rounds in the draft. One team that is having problems with this per a source is the team Jennifer & Ronny. While most of the union of Jennifer & Ronny has worked out amazingly over the last 16 months of wedding bliss one major problem has come about this year with their pre draft prep. The problem according to multiple sources familiar with the situation is that Jennifer, who is the more outgoing colorful one of the two, wants to keep Odell Beckham Jr. in the 3rd round and let Darrius Guice go and not keep him in the 13th round due to concerns that his knee is not healing as well as she would like. Ronny however, who is more quite and keeps to himself wants to get rid of the flashy wide out and keep the young RB with his high celling and very low risk being what round he ca...

Email has been sent.... We must be getting close

As I start Season 4 of The League in re watching that wonderful program on HULU on my lunch break I got back to work and found an email. An Email that made me smile, an Email that made the clouds disappear and the sun to return to the sky. Our Fantasy Football draft is just four short weeks from Saturday!! Could this be? What wonderful news. It makes all things better, bad jobs, no money, can't pay bills, divorced, lonely or even the worst possible thing one can be, a western Michigan grad, no longer matters. Fantasy Football is back and life makes sense again. We have a lot of action that should take place before the trade deadline on July 27th. There are several teams with many good players who can be kept in the 9th round or later. With Keepers then due the following week, Saturday August  3rd, draft prep can finally be in full swing, for the 9 of us. BMR of course has been doing draft prep for several months and has a 156 page binder with every NFL teams depth chart and strengt...

Off Season is off and running

The calendar may only read May but football is already in the air. With the NFL draft done now and rookie mini camps taking place we already have had a trade for the 2019 season. From now until the draft in August trades can take place and this year I believe there will be a dissent amount of them. Now is the time for each manager to decide on their strategy as they prepare for the 2019 draft. Looking at potential keepers some teams are in better shape then others.  Jennifer & Ronny is a team that has lots of potential keeper options and usually enjoy a good trade. Looking at their roster you see lots of players who could be kept: Odell Beckham can be kept with a 3rd round pick, and now that he is no longer a Giant Jennifer & Ronny will surly try to move him. Guice as a 13th round keeper you would think be one keeper for sure for J&R considering they drafted him last year with that in mind only. Derrick Henry towards the end of the season almost showed he is wor...

NFL First round picks Fantasy Projections

The 4 day, or whatever they do now to ruin the draft, event that is the NFL draft began last night and while this looks to be a very deep draft for lineman on both sides of the ball there is some skill position players that will go in this year's drafts that fantasy managers will begin to scout and look at to potentially make a impact during the 2019 season. Here is a look at the 8 "skill" position players drafted in the first 32 picks last night. Kyle Murray QB Cards #1-New coach, so a new start... tough break for that QB they drafted in the top ten last year...Murray should play right away... I mean what other option do they have?  Last year a Heisman winner QB from Oklahoma went #1 and did some nice things when he got in... Will Murray do the same? Or will he show everyone that he should have stuck with baseball?  As a late round pick may be something to think about for someone with a high celling, if it works. Personally I think he will Drew Henson it and be back in...
