Week 9 Preview

A 3-2 week last week for the writing staff pushes our season record to 25-15, which isn't too bad, but we would like to do better. Still looking for that 5-0 week. So maybe this week will be the week. First a reminder we have all day football on Sunday this week, as we do have a 930am eastern time game to go with our Thursday night, Sunday 1pm, Sunday 405 and 425pm and Sunday night, and of course our Monday night.  Bye Weeks: Steelers and Titans  The Wiseguy 8-0(156.38) vs. 3-Time Sports Emmy winner and United State Senate Recognized Father 7-1 (116.93) Brought to you by:  Sen. Blumenthal to Kash Patel: "You lied to us" The writing staff would like to thank Senator Blumenthal for recognizing Jeremy Slone for not only his years of dedication at the mother ship but for also being a great father. His mother agreed calling the honor "very much deserved." Neither of his two children could be reached for comment.  As for the matchup, The former Dean shows no signs of...

week 8 Preview

A very disheartening 1-4 record last week makes the writing staff's season record drop to 22-13. After a promising start we have seen to hit a wall. Have to regroup. But it isn't about us, it is about you all, so let's get to it.  Bye Weeks: 49ers, Texans, Giants and Saints 3-Time Emmy Award Winner 6-1 (115.44) vs. King Derek's Golden Gate 3-4 (141.82) Brought to you by: (1) Caddyshack - YouTube When you have a matchup of #1 vs. #2 you think that would lead off, but the writing staff has received word about a certain bet between managers for this one that will sure make this the most followed matchup of the week. Derek has Watson going tomorrow night to get his team off to a lead, a lead he hopes to never give up. No more morning games this week, so on Sunday the world must wait till 1pm eastern time, and an extra hour at that as the clocks fall back an hour Saturday night/Sunday morning. But man does it get going at 1pm. Sloney's entire team plays at 1pm, as of pr...

week 7 Preview

A very disappointing 2-3 record last week makes the writing staff 21-9 now for the season. We need to regroup this week.  Bye Week: Bills, Jags, Washington and Chargers Look Ahead Week??? Potential Semi-Final Matchups: Go Blue 6-0 (152.39) vs. Guy on the Coaster 4-2 (139.71) Brought to you by:  SHORESY Never Lose Again - YouTube Ryan may never lose again. Burden III will give The Wiseguy a lead after tomorrow night. Then Sunday morning, DK for Ryan and the Steelers D for Tiricoooooooo. Young Matthew will make a nice comeback at 1 with Robinson, Brown and Young. However, JTT at 1, and KW3 and JSN on Sunday night will be all that is needed for the former Dean to stay undefeated. Tirico will give a good effort but the writing staff is mad at him for him not coming through last week when we predicted he beat big bro, we will not look stupid again. Ryan wins again 160-151.  Jheri Curl 6-0 (135.36) vs. Hilltop Creepers 5-1 (122.42) Brought to you by:  Mike Ditka "Who...

Week 6 Preview

A disappointing week last week for us, going 3-2, but the writing staff isn't doing too bad on the season, as we now sit at 19-6, which isn't bad. But enough about us, let's focus on the reason the writing staff does this, you guys and your wonderful league, so here is our week 6 preview.  Bye Week: Detroit, Bengals, Miami and Minnesota Hilltop Creepers 4-1 (109.38) vs. Guy on the Coaster 4-1 (151.0) Brought to you by:  River Cain - Mama’s Boy Fran Bowl 1 of the season is this weekend, and that makes the writing staff excited. Sadly, for the older, better looking, more popular brother, the injury bug has hit, plus some bye week issues all point towards little bro continuing his dominance over Jer. Jer still needs to add a kicker, but for now, this is a Sunday only matchup with CD being the only player going on Sunday night, so before Carrie sings, this one will be over. Tirico let us down by losing last week when we picked him to win, he will not do it two weeks in a row...

Week 5 Preview

Another 4-1 week brings the writing staff to an impressive 16-4 on the season, if only Chris' bets could be good the members would have a lot more money in their bank accounts today. But last week is done and we as a writing staff, and I know the league as well, is moving forward. This week is the first week that NFL teams have byes, so managers have some decisions to make on some players and lineups. With that being said, let's get right to it.  Bye Week: Carolina and KC  Tiricoooooo 4-0 (153.97) vs. Bambino 4-0 (122.92)  Brought to you by:  LA effect Letterkenny Could this be a championship preview? Easy pick for game of the week this week. Projections will get a bit closer once Carlos Santos goes from the bench to the kicker spot, but the man on the coaster will still be favored. He can't get another 17 catches from Lamb this week, can he? Though the bucks have not been good, and that is being nice. Prime time matchup. CD starts it off tomorrow night, and th...

Week 4 Preview

Yet another 4-1 week last week for us, making the writing staff 12-3 on the season. Which we are very happy about, but we are still searching for perfection. So, let's get to it. Teams are starting to separate themselves, and we have had our first in season trade as the race to be in the top 6 will pick up quickly. Real quick, fun reminder, we have games Thursday night, Sunday at 930am, Sunday at 1, Sunday at 4, Sunday night, and Monday night, so just a whole lot of football!  Tirico 3-0 (147.11) vs. King Derek 2-1 (135.70)  Brought to you by:  Laura Rutledge gets SURPRISED by Chris Berman on NFL Live! 👏 The big matchup of the week, the #1 pick against the #2 pick. Gibbs scored 38.20 fantasy points last week and still would have lost the head-to-head matchup against Robinson, who dropped a 40 burger. We predict the Saints and Atlanta in the dome to be very high scoring Monday night. But before that on Sunday night Gibbs and the Lions take on Carolina, who has score...

Week 3 Preview

After another strong 4-1 week for the writing staff, we are now 8-2 on the season, which we feel pretty good about, but there is always room for improvement. So, with that said, let's get right to the week 3 Preview.  Tirico 2-0 (130.981) vs. Best Man Robb 1-1 (133.89) Brought to you by:  David Robinson 'Mister Robinson's Neighborhood' ft Rudolph Firkusny Projected for a close BMR win, but Tirico needs to add a TE that is playing still, so once he does that, he will be favored. He should get off to a nice lead after tomorrow night with Mr. Robinson going, and now that the Falcons are starting an actual NFL QB, with all respect to the great Cooper Rush, that should help all the Falcons skills position players who have had a rough start to the season. BMR also will have to wonder all week until Sunday night if his team's namesake is playing in Denver. The writing staff feels the Rams have Adams, who clearly can still go, as we saw on Monday, and early in the season i...

Week 2 Preview

The Writing staff got off to a solid start on the season going 4-1, and we feel pretty god about that, but week 1 is over and week 2 begins tonight, so let's get right to it shall we. Interesting note, every matchup this week features a 1-0 team vs a 0-1 team.  Bambino 1-0 (130.50) vs. G-Money 0-1 (130.57) Brought to you by:  Usos entrance with the crowd singing - YouTube Super close projections should mean for a very close matchup all weekend long. Santino will get out to a lead tonight with Cook and Laporta going, how big of a lead will depend on if the boss can make a comeback or not. As of now, Santino is going with both bears RBs, (who both are officially listed as questionable right now too) hoping that Flowers will play for him and put up numbers like he did last week before getting hurt. Greg is in an odd spot, because having Lamar Jackson has his QB, he would want Flowers to play because it would give Lamar a much better chance to put up throwing numbers to have...

week 1 Preview

The wait is over; the NFL is officially back! This year we even start a day early. Tomorrow night, Super Bowl Re Match. That means the managers of this great league has to follow games on Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Monday. Let's not waste any more time. Let's get to our week 1 preview.  G-Money 129.51 vs. Tiricooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo 141.31 Brought to you by: EXCLUSIVE: NFL's Hump Day Kickoff is Almost Here! - YouTube An all-Sunday matchup, except for the Denver D on Monday night for the Commish. Projection wise as long as he is down by 10-12 points or less, he feels like he at least has a chance going into Monday night. The good news is that he will not have to stay up late Monday night and wonder if he will win week 1. The bad news is, because the matchup will already be over. Tirico;s backup QB and three wide outs on the bench would be upgrades for some teams in this league. Greg will take an early lead after the 1pm window on Sunday and may even hold a s...

2026 Best Case/Worst Case

First, the writing staff would like to make clear, THIS IS NOT A PREDICTION POST. We are just taking each team and giving our thoughts on what the best case and worst case scenario would be for their team going into the season. We will return next week Tuesday with the week 1 preview, and then each week after that the week preview will be out on Wednesday. We hope you enjoy.  Hearts of Chaos:  Rocky IV - Hearts on Fire True HD - YouTube Best Case: JTT and the Colts offense click like they did in the beginning of the season last year before DJ that's my DJ got hurt. A new coach doesn't hurt Lamar at all and David Montgomery can still be a very high productive RB on a new team without the Sonic to his hedgehog. The Commish can ride that offense back to the playoffs and another chance at winning it all. Worst Case: The team continues to fall suit with Tyon's injury which hurts the depth, and then you need to relay on the Jets, Falcons Cards, and Colts offense to produce in ...

2026 Draft Recap

The writing staff is pleased to hear the draft went well, and that there was almost perfect attendance, which is great. It sounds like it was a wonderful weekend of fun. It can be hard to remember when different leagues draft since it can be different each year, oh wait, no, never mind, this league has a constitution that stats the draft is always the 3rd Saturday of August, so I am sure then everyone came ready with months of research and knowledge with tools needed to draft. While the writing staff isn't lucky enough to be at your draft, we have now got a run-down of a round-by-round breakdown of the draft and can give our recap.  Round 1 Recap: brought to you by:  Nelly - #1 - YouTube Best Pick: KW3 at 9 to Ryan: We feel he will have a great year in KC and after already having a top 5 player as a keeper it was important for him to get a RB1 to go with his WR1.  Worth Pick: JTT at 6 to Greg: We feel James Cook will have a better year and that was the right decisio...

2025 Season Review

Another season is done, and the writing staff has really enjoyed covering this wonderful league. First congrats to Derek, for winning another title, and thanks to Sloney, also has the #1 pick in the 2026 draft, which draft prep for that begins now. But before we totally switch gears to the 2026 season, here is one last look back at the 2025 season: Golden Gate:  Queen - We Are The Champions (Official Video) - YouTube Finished: 1st 2026 Draft 1st Pick: 1st overall Season Recap: Derek took four first round picks, Chase, Barkley, Henry, and London, and interestingly it was his trade of Henry to Sloney which is the biggest reason that Derek will now have the first pick in 2026. In the title game it was Burrow, Chase, and McBride that did the most for him, and helped in the fact that Ryan's team picked the worst week to no show. Derek had the 4th most points scored during the season, but the team stepped up the most when it matters the most and he will once again find his name on the tr...

THE FINAL WEEKEND, STARTING THURSDAY

Went 4-1 last week, but it does not matter, it is Championship week here in the greatest Fantasy League around and the writing staff just wants to thank all 11 of you for letting us write about your wonderful league for another year. We hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe 2026! Now let's get to it. Championship: Brought to you by:  Heart Of A Champion It has all come down to this: Derek vs Ryan for the trophy that means more than anything in the world. Not to mention, that Cash Money!!  QB: Burrow vs Arizona (Sunday 1pm) vs. Goff at Minnesota (Thursday 4:30pm)  Burrow seems to be back and Chase x2, Chase Brown and Jamar Chase, plus Higgins has definitely liked having him back, the weather is looking like warm but an 80% chance of rain and possible storms on Sunday so we will see if that does affect him in any way. Meanwhile we know the weather will be nice inside the dome in the beautiful twin cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, giving Goff and R...
